lana Kramer began her career in large firm litigation after graduating from NYU School of Law.

She came to immigration law in 2015 with an acute sense of justice and a passion for representing victims. Ms. Kramer worked for three years at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) representing unaccompanied minors in Immigration Court and mentoring pro bono attorneys through asylum and special immigrant juvenile cases. During her tenure at KIND, Ms. Kramer appeared in front of USCIS, the Immigration Courts in Baltimore and Arlington, as well as Circuit Courts including, but not limited to: Montgomery, Prince George’s, Baltimore County and Baltimore City. She also helped bring the first Special Immigrant Juvenile case to the Maryland Court of Appeals in Romero v. Perez, 205 A.3d 903 (2019), which reversed the decision Court of Special Appeals and ordered a finding of facts for special immigrant juvenile status at the Circuit Court.

Since joining Yacub Law Offices in December 2019, Ms. Kramer has filed motions at the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and filed a petition for review pending at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Kramer’s practice focuses on post-judgment work, bringing hope to immigrants who suffer through the daily anxiety of living in the shadows.
