He has litigation experience assisting clients in removal proceedings including cancellation of removal, asylum, waivers, SIJS, and detainees. He also assists clients in family-based petitions, adjustment of status, waivers, consular processing, fiancé petitions as well as humanitarian petitions like U-visas and T-visas. Mr. Gutiérrez in his role as a senior paralegal is also in charge of assisting attorneys with the business immigration cases before the Department of Labor, USCIS, and National Visa Center.
Mr. Gutiérrez received his bachelor’s degree from University of Maryland Baltimore County where he is also completing his master’s degree in Intercultural Communication. He plans on attending law school and becoming an immigration attorney to help the immigrant community.
Mr. Gutiérrez enjoys giving back to his community and he has volunteered at Centro Hispano, Frederick Immigration Coalition in Frederick, MD, and at The Esperanza Center in Baltimore, MD.
