Under her administration, the office has grown in scope and representation exponentially. With Ms. Yacub’s leadership, Yacub Law Office purchased three offices, and grown from 5 to 16 staff members. She is always asking herself of all process, practices, and procedures, “does this make sense? Is this the best we can do?”
It is not surprising that the office has grown considerably under her management. Prior to joining Yacub Law Office, Ms. Yacub was the Counselor of Colombia and Ecuador at the Board of Directors of the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB). In that capacity, Ms. Yacub worked closely with high government officials of Ecuador as well as other nations in the Western Hemisphere.
Prior to the IADB position, Ms. Yacub worked at the Organization of American States, initially on the issue of the Free Trade Area of the Americas, a multinational trade agreement. Then, Ms. Yacub was the counselor of the Secretariat of External Relations of the Organization of American States in Washington, DC.
In 1998, the Vice-President of Ecuador named her one of the best advisors that the Vice-Presidency had and she was the recipient of a prestigious award.
Ms. Yacub received her undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco in Quito, Ecuador and her Master’s at George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia.
