André Matias represents clients in a broad range of immigration matters before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Mr. Matias also handles litigation at the trial and appellate level, including inter alia, cases before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Before practicing immigration law, André worked for a major global law firm and was counsel to two foundations in the nonprofit sector. Mr. Matias graduated from Georgetown University Law Center where he was a recipient of various honors, including two Excellence for the Future Awards for highest academic achievement, an ABA scholarship, and recognition as an exceptional pro bono honoree. Before practicing law, André was an Olympic athlete and multiple medalist at international rowing events.
Mr. Matias is a native speaker of Portuguese and French and is fluent in English and Spanish.
