Katherine Alay has been a paralegal at Yacub Law Offices, since June 2019.
Prior to joining our team, Ms. Alay interned at a non-profit organization and later started working as a junior paralegal and later promoted to a paralegal at an immigration law firm in Falls Church, VA, where she earned a lot of her experience. Ms. Alay is currently a full-time student at George Mason University, where she plans to obtain her Master's degree in Criminology, Law, and Society. After her completion at Mason, she plans to attend Law school and become an immigration attorney.
Ms. Alay focuses on helping attorneys with work permits, family petitions, applications of relief, and motions. In addition, she is responsible for checking all Master and Individual Court hearings.
Coming from an immigrant family herself, Ms. Alay would like to make the lives easier of any person fleeing their homes for a better and safer future in the United States. For this reason, she plans to continue working in the field of immigration and eventually have her own law firm. Ms. Alay is passionate about her work and enjoys the personal interaction with clients.
