Jhosdye B. Valentin Palomino is a paralegal at Yacub Law Offices in Rockville, Maryland.
Jhosdye is our lead paralegal for our business immigration cases and works under Attorney Ivan Yacub’s direct supervision. She assists Mr. Yacub in defensive cases for detained individuals or in removal proceedings. Jhosdye also handles U VISA, waivers, and consular processing cases.
Before joining our team, Jhosdye worked at multiple private immigration law firms assisting attorneys on various migratory reliefs. Additionally, she has experience working at nonprofit organizations where she obtained pro bono attorneys to represent low-income immigrants at the Circuit Court for Prince George County. Additionally, Jhosdye utilized her ability to be bilingual in Spanish and English to get certified as a Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) interpreter. With this certification, Jhosdye was able to assist multiple individuals in obtaining their driver’s licenses in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Jhosdye obtained her Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies from Montgomery College and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Law, and Ethics with a minor in Marketing Communications from the University of Baltimore. Jhosdye hopes to become a licensed attorney with a specialization in immigration law to represent individuals in removal proceedings.
As an immigrant and a first-generation U.S. university graduate, Jhosdye's passion to serve others stems from her empathy and understanding of the challenges the immigrant community faces in the United States.
